Obverse: Full length facing-standing figures of the emperor left and saint Demetrius right, holding long-shafted scepter with eight-pointed star on its top. Emperor, beard and moustache, is with low stemma decorated with prependoulia, wearing maniakon, chlamys, narrow loros and divitision, decorated with "lattice decoration" and a pearl in each of its cells, holding cruciform scepter in his right hand. Saint Demetrius with nimbus, dressed in chain-armour, tunic and sagion and holding sword with his left hand.
Reverse: Bust of Christ Emanuel with large cross nimbus the cells of which are decorated with five pellets each, tunic and kolobian, blessing with His right hand and holding Gospel, decorated with five gems with His left hand
